Missile defence and reconnaissance for light and medium armored vehicles

General Dynamics Land Systems and Falck Schmidt Defence Systems have joined together to produce an Elevated TOW System (ETS) with observation. This system gives TOW missile capability to today's light mobile armored vehicles while increasing the vehicle survivability of the battlefield. The ETS is a TOW weapon system with 4 tube launchers, and an elevated mast extending up to 6.5 meters above the ground.

TOW missiles can be launched from any position. The crew of three is under armor at all times. The system provides maximum crew protection when operated stealthily using terrain and other structures to provide masking and protection. The ETS, through the employment of today’s sighting technologies, enables the use of the full range of the TOW missile. With the system, customers are assured of equipment and missile commonality with current US and Allied inventories.

FSDS and GDLS ATGM, a derivative of the ETS, is employed on the US Army's Brigade Combat Team vehicles.
